30 June: beat-up leaves, colors not uniform, color combination questionable, nice.


15 July: nice color and leaf shape, slow growing, interesting color, like the variation in leaf color, surprisingly little leaf damage, don't like the color.


30 July: two-toned look is great, nice foliage colors, color is boring, consistently interesting, great mix of green and burgundy, some Japanese beetle damage, good coverage, not my favorite color.

15 Aug: Japanese beetle damage.


30 Aug: recovering from Japanese beetle damage, nice colors.

15 Sept: Japanese beetle damage, interesting color, looks great, good coverage, uniform, color variation interesting, not my favorite color, holding well.
